In an abundance of caution, and in an effort to protect all of our patients, staff, and community from the risks associated with COVID-19, as of Thursday, April 2nd, Lincoln Surgical Hospital will no longer allow visitors.
We understand this change may make your stay with us more difficult. However, we believe this decision is necessary given the current extraordinary circumstances.
You are encouraged to maintain contact with patients by personal phones or video conferencing (FaceTime, Zoom, etc.). You can call the hospital to check on a patient’s status or connect to a patient’s room. Main Hospital Switchboard 402-484-9090
Patients will need to know their representative’s contact number and provide this upon registration. Staff and Surgeons will contact the representative with updates throughout the patients stay.
Exceptions to this policy:
- Pediatric/Minors(18 years or younger in Nebraska)
- Only one parent or legal guardian will be allowed in the Hospital to accompany the patient.
Adults needing special assistance by a support person or patient care representative needing in-person teaching and instructions (determined by the care team).
If you have an upcoming surgery scheduled, please keep in mind, only patients will be allowed inside. We ask that friends, family members and patient representatives wait in the car and be available by phone.
Discharge instructions will be reviewed with the patient’s representative via phone, FaceTime, Skype, zoom, etc. Written instructions with also be reviewed and provided to the patient.

All patients and visitors will be screened upon entry into the hospital for illness, recent travel, and exposure to COVID-19. Patients and visitors will follow all infection prevention and other LSH guidelines. Anyone violating these guidelines will be required to leave the facility. (You may be required to wear a mask, etc)
